Lian Li 1250W PSU and new L-ATX form factor

@ Computex 2009: The L-ATX form factor power supply from Lian Li is an attempt to improve cooling in PSU’s by making a wind tunnel, instead of the traditional “L” Shaped airflow. The larger frame of the L-ATX PSU fits in most Lian Li Tower Chassis with extra space.

Lian Li exposes the latest X series gaming chassis called the X1000 at Computex 2009. This case combines the best of both the X500 and X2000. It has front mounted ODD bays, special heat zoned areas and all the latest tool-less designs from Lian Li, including the PSU clip and PCI bracket clips.

Lian Li PC-Q07 – Mini-ITX chassis @ Computex 2009

The Lian Li PC-Q07 is designed to run a Mini-ITX motherboard with full size components instead of the slim-line components traditionally used. This allows a relatively inexpensive but powerful PC to be made on a Mini-ITX platform.

Areca @ Computex 2009

Areca showed us a prototype based on the new Marvell 6GB/s SATA/SAS controller. They will launch a whole new series based on this controller in early 2010, which they expect to MORE than double(!) the performance of their existing series. They also mention that they are working on SSD improved firmware updates for their existing series!

Gigabyte GoOC 2009 Winners – More detailed review

Vapor gives more details about how they achieved the win at the GoOC over some stiff competition from the Swedish and Australian competitors.

However at the end the USA team took the lead and managed to shrug off all contenders.

Gigabyte GoOC 2009 – Winners – Team USA

Team USA won this years GoOC finals in Taipei, Taiwan. Charles aka Fugger and Eric aka Vapor took an i7 975 and 2 GTX 260 VGAs in SLI to 5.5Ghz CPU clock speed on Liquid Nitrogen.

FruitShop makes USB Sticks (aka you different) . They have a unique cute style which according to Fruitshop is not just cute, but also functional. The USB sticks are USB 2.0 and support 2, 4 and 8GB. Each body can be interchanged to other bodies amongst the 5 different animal styles (nope its not Kung Fu, but almost). The iPhone cover is a shock proofing cover that makes the iPhone impervious to drops from 1-2m high, and has a special airbag design making the iPhone conveniently safe. The armband is designed for exercise gurus who need to have the iPhone near them at all times. The convenient holder is sweatproof and well thought out.
