Craig Ferguson is a well respected cultural photographer in Taiwan, his experience brings a measure of perspective to some basic camera equipment that we all could use. BLACKRAPID has become the camera strap of choice for pro’s and amatures alike. It brings both convenience and comfort to something that people just expect to be normal. The RS-5 is anything but normal. It has a special design allowing the camera to move along the strap, and yet hang comfortably. It has padding which stays in place, and extra pockets to keep all the trinkets you need when roaming around shooting pics. For more info check out Blackrapid.com
Craig Ferguson tested the Phottix Atlas Wireless Trigger engineering samples in a real life scenario. The flashes were staggered along a path and they fired off as Betty rode past on the bicycle. The time was early dawn before sunrise. The filming done with the HD DSLR Canon 7D made the scene much brighter than it was in real life.
Phottix has since improved the active range of the triggers to well over 100m.

The Phottix Atlas 2.4 GHz Wireless Flash Trigger brings reliability and endurance on par with the well known Pocket Wizard. This Review done by Craig Ferguson Images in association with FirstZoom Studios shows you the Atlas in use in real life situations. Craig, an experienced Cultural Photographer from Taiwan gives his opinion and feedback on the engineering samples he received early on in the products development. With his feedback, Phottix will continue to develop the Atlas which is scheduled to be released within the next month or two.
Check out how well it works in the studio, inside a bomb shelter, and from a fair distance. Never missing a beat, the Atlas wireless trigger fired every time.
The device has 4 channels, and many various ways to connect to lots of different flash devices and DSLR cameras.
This was filmed on a HD- DSLR Canon 7D, using the original Mic on the camera.
