EU3C GPS / GSM Tracker device @ Computex 2010

Vern from EU3C presents their GPS tracker device which can be used for all kinds of tracking options to bring you piece of mind with regards to safety of those you love. The GSM mobile phone and GPS combo unit keeps track of its position. Simply call the device from your mobile, and the unit will reply with a text message giving the exact location at that point in time. It can be used in many ways, for example if your kid’s borrow your car, do they really go where they say they will? Call the device and see for yourself. Keeping track of your pets, or keep track of your vehicles. The small and concealable device has also been used gain valuable information about one’s partners location.(although that’s not its purpose ;-) ). The device also has an emergency button that can broadcast to a specified number with the location that the person is in trouble.

Super Talent reveals world first USB3.0 flash drives

Director Joe James from Super Talent @ Computex 2010 shows Yi the world’s first USB 3.0 flash drives. The cheapest Express Drive can transmit data at about 130MB/s, The Super Crypt goes at 240MB/s. The Raid Flash Drive at the high-end reaches speeds of over 300MB/sec. In this example it reached a read speed of 313MB/sec and a write speed of 139MB/sec. Significantly faster (3x) than a HDD, as well as a fast SSD (20% faster).

GlacialTech @ Computex 2010

GlacialTech @ Computex 2010 introducing products from it’s three different product lines: power supplies, cooling and LED lighting solutions.
From GlacialPower Rex Lin introduced us to the slim type combo adapter for retailer notebooks/ e-books and tablets. The voltage is adjustable, and with the USB output, additional devices can be charged from this one. From GlacialTech he introduced “Siberia” which is a large CPU cooler with 6 heatpipes and a large high volume fan. The cooler is ideal for gaming and high end PC systems. The second model is called Alaska, and also has 6 heatpipes per side., although the cooling method is crossover cooling as opposed to top down cooling in the Alaska model. The GlacialLight section was showing off the dimming capability of the LED BR40 globe. Most regular LED lights cannot be dimmed at all, however GlacialLight has the answer.

ACER Aspire netbook-Android/Linux hybrid @ Computex 2009

Aspire one netbook from Acer with Atom processor. The Android OS platform is a mixed Android, Linux hybrid which starts up in 18 seconds!! and turns off in 1 second. Future specs uncertain, but looks good and works great!
