OPTO Taiwan 2009 is one of the biggest international optoelectronic shows in Asia. It focuses on the latest developments on the optoelectronic devices and components industry. The show has been held since 1984 and is one of the industry’s prime events for exchanging information, comparing products and services with competitors, and spotting future trends.

The Chi-Mei Green monitors on display are at 100-120Hz, and range in size from 42″, 47″, and 55″ for SI companies that can use them to replace the standard 60Hz monitors currently being used. CCFL backlight is the current system in use, however there is a LED backlight in development due in Q4. The LED backlight will give very good power savings. The backlight display for advertising has 1700nits and exceeds regular displays quite considerably.

CMO 240Hz Display @ OPTO 2009
CMO show the latest 240Hz monitor which can vary the frequency across the length of the screen. The difference varies between 60Hz to 120Hz and then up to 240Hz. The response time is 3.4ms.
