Sunlight Induction lamps from LVD in Taiwan has a circular solution to a troubling problem. Previous lamps that are charged by solar panels usually had 180 degree beam angle at fairly low strength. LVDs solution maximizes the current usage and doubles the lighting area by making a circular globe as opposed to a straight line globe from the past. The result is a 50-90% improvement in both power usage and lighting intensity as well as consistent coloration. The two semi-circle sides are powered from the same point on one side to the same point on the other side, hence doubling the product, but reducing the cost that would normally be involved if you used two globes. These eco-friendly induction lamps are made RoHs compliant (meaning that no heavy metals are used in their production) and with over 80lm/W, the energy saving lights give great long term savings. PM Jacob Freeman shows EVGA’s the latest offerings with the P55 chipset from Intel. EVGA P55 is an enthusiast motherboard with dual BIOS, it has pulsating LED in the heatspreader, and a 10 phase analog PWM. The EVGA FTW line has a total of 3 BIOS chips and each chip can store a different BIOS version. The active switch helps you select which is your preference. Its an excellent feature for testing out new BIOS’. It has a 12 Phase analog PWM and has dual 8 pin inputs for a total of 600W of power to the CPU and PWM region directly. Peter Tan, the world renowned overclocker working for EVGA gives his take on the P55 chipset. Inside the CPU socket cavity EVGA have inserted low inductance surface mount capacitors. The high grade capacitors give low inductance and are the best ones for the job.

Lite-On show off the LCD which is only 1cm thick @ LED Lighting Taiwan 2009 Expo. The package is called 50/30, and the small units are 5.6mm wide and 3mm high, and has 228 LED’s to make the whole backlight.
