Thecus N2200xxx & N4200 Pro @ Computex 2011

The N2200xxx is a two bay NAS for home use,  NAS N4200 NAS for home use and SMB’s. Both are running Atom D525 dual-core processors @ 1.8GHz with one GB or DDR3 RAM. Both can use 3T HDD’s as well as EXT 4 file systems. The drives have convenient access in the front or side and the N4200 has an LCD display for setting features and perimeters for the NAS. Most features are accessible through the proprietary UI, with special features for photo servers, iPhone and android connectivity. All are good for backup (includes RAID features). The 4200Pro has a built in UPS for added security of data.

BROADCOM BCM43142 Combo chip for PC @ Computex 2011

The single chip BCM43142 solution supports Bluetooth high energy and Bluetooth low energy as well as WiFi. The chip is optimized for power consumption with a 40% less power usage than previous generation models. It is ultimately designed to co-operated simultaneously with Bluetooth peripherals while streaming from the internet.

RunCore SSD privacy features @ Computex 2011

The SSD disk runs on SATA III and has an IFID disk which has a public layer and private later. When used without the disk, the public layer is all that is accessable, but when keying in the IFID disk, the device opens up the private layers. Also using your cellphone, you can activate or deactivate the private layer.

The 3D Surveillance camera has heaps of features, including flame detection, intruder detection and can do flow counting for busy roads or even how many customers you received over any given period. In addition you can construct a virtual fence where if anyone crosses it, the alarm is activated. The response is immediate as well as recorded for future reference.

Aurum Electronics Corp displays their new NightWatch series Safety security lights with video tracking. The combination of movement sensor, LED lights and video recording is the ultimate way to ensure the area is clear of threats. Highly recommended if you live in South Africa or similar countries where safety and security is a daily concern. The product transmits wireless to three different receivers, one is for displaying on your TV, the second plugs into your PC USB port, and the third is a portable unit which can both display on the built in LCD, or be connected to a monitor. They can show four different transmitters for one receiver on the display at the same time.
