3D motion controller from ITRI

The 3D motion controller uses the same technology as the ultrasonic controller, but has 3D positioning capabilities. It can detect where your finger is (as long as it is above the controller and not in any other …place). The controller can sense when you prod forward as if pushing a button and also tracks the movement as you swirl your finger about. The game on display shows an Asteroid type game where the user is bashing the asteroids using his finger as the joystick. Other uses that spring to mind  for this device could include the Adult entertainment industry, although that is merely speculation. If you have some ideas and would like to share them, feel free to leave a message. We will forward the noteworthy ones to the manufacturers.

Hands free Ultrasonic Controller for TV and PC from ITRI

The Ultrasonic controller is preprogrammed to accept commands from your hand moving over the sensor. The device has several variables that can be preprogrammed to do certain things. The sweeping can be either from left to right, or from right to left, or by simply holding your fingers above the right, middle or left side to simulate a click selection. The hardware and software combination is still in its early stages and needs to be calibrated to each specific user. This kind of hands free solution brings us one step close to Minority report computer interaction. Probably the first implementation will be for games and game consoles. If you have any thoughts or ideas, please share them with us and we will be sure to pass them along to the manufacturers.

Anti reflective coating for TV and PC monitors from BothHarvest

Anti reflective cover protector from BothHarvest company . The AR coating prevents even the brightest of conditions from spoiling a crystal clear view of your monitor. This innovative transparency is applied to the monitor as a protective layer and prevents glare from upsetting your view.  Additional protective coatings include spill proof layers that ensure liquid is repelled from the lens surface as if it was never there. Usually the water droplets would disperse on the screen leaving a trail of wet droplets, but when water droplets are applied to the protective layer, they slip completely off as if they were never there. BothHarvest is a Taiwanese company displaying their wares at the recent Taitronics trade fair, held in Taipei, Taiwan.
