Phottix Atlas Wireless Flash Trigger Full Review

Posted by Peter On June - 16 - 2010

The Phottix Atlas 2.4 GHz Wireless Flash Trigger brings reliability and endurance on par with the well known Pocket Wizard. This Review done by Craig Ferguson Images in association with FirstZoom Studios shows you the Atlas in use in real life situations. Craig, an experienced Cultural Photographer from Taiwan gives his opinion and feedback on the engineering samples he received early on in the products development.  With his feedback, Phottix will continue to develop the Atlas which is scheduled to be released within the next month or two.
Check out how well it works in the studio, inside a bomb shelter, and from a fair distance. Never missing a beat, the Atlas wireless trigger fired every time.
The device has 4 channels, and many various ways to connect to lots of different flash devices and DSLR cameras.

This was filmed on a HD- DSLR Canon 7D, using the original Mic on the camera.

Waterproof GPS display device for Motorbike

Posted by Peter On October - 30 - 2009

A waterproof GPS device sounds obvious, but it has taken a while to hit the market. Longhorn Company is one of the few who have done it right, winning a Design Award at the recent Global Sources Trade Show in Hong Kong. The Moto S350 has a 3.5″TFT LCD with touch panel, plus Bluetooth(optional), and FM transmitter (optional), it also has a satellite communications aerial and proprietary software. Unfortunately we were unable to take it out the case to give you a closer look. You can see more about the product here: www.long-horn.com/en

Aurum Electronics Corp displays their new NightWatch series Safety security lights with video tracking. The combination of movement sensor, LED lights and video recording is the ultimate way to ensure the area is clear of threats. Highly recommended if you live in South Africa or similar countries where safety and security is a daily concern. The product transmits wireless to three different receivers, one is for displaying on your TV, the second plugs into your PC USB port, and the third is a portable unit which can both display on the built in LCD, or be connected to a monitor. They can show four different transmitters for one receiver on the display at the same time. If you like this concept, or you see flaws in it, feel free to tell us, and we will convey the info to the manufacturers.
