The Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) based in Taiwan promotes new technologies from some of the brightest minds from around the world. Each Taitronics event they show some of the most interesting inventions and concepts that are in the pipeline to be available for commercial use. The government funded Institute is highly respected. Today Joanne introduces the electric buggy, called the EV-Buggy. The engine runs exclusively on 11 electric batteries which charge from a standard power outlet for 6hrs. The buggy reaches top speeds of 82 km/h and if driven at 40km/hr, it can ride for 80km on one charge.
